About Myobase
Myobase is an Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) published by the documentation service of AFM-Téléthon, giving access to more than 60,000 descriptive records (2021).
It is dedicated to neuromuscular diseases, and allows you to display references of documents collected since 1990. All these documents constitute the AFM-Téléthon documentary fund and are described using records.
Myobase is a unique tool available on the Internet, for free. It unites many content in different formats (pdf, website, videos, books, conference proceedings, reference lists) and has a search engine that can provide results in the form of descriptive notes concerning:
- neuromuscular diseases including clinical aspects, diagnosis, management, genetics, medical and scientific research,
- disability situations (motor, visual, cognitive) related to neuromuscular diseases: rehabilitation, occupational therapy, social integration and support of people with these pathologies
- psychology in neuromuscular and rare genetic diseases
A daily watch on specialized magazines or WEB sites allows Myobase to be fed daily. On the other hand, a selection of documents is made by the team of the department of information on neuromuscular diseases of the AFM-Téléthon, Myoinfo, in collaboration with scientists from the Scientific Directorate of the AFM-Téléthon and with physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and psychologists from the Medical Action Directorate of the AFM-Téléthon.
As copyright permit, the full text of the documents can be downloaded by clicking on the "digital document" link displayed in the notices. All documents published by AFM-Téléthon are available in digital format.
